Does making smoothies intimidate you or maybe you're not sure what to put in it? 

We get it. Our Founder, Nicole, was the same way! But really, you can't mess up. Rest assured, Smoothies are super easy to make at home, delicious and most of all nutritious that the body can easily absorb and break down in the morning. What is even better is you can make one big one for you and the family! 

Remember, first thing in the morning, just like you, your body is getting going too and waking up, we don't want to put in heavy foods first thing that take a long time for the body to break down.

The morning time is also when your gut bugs are the busiest, so it is best to get your probiotics in at the same time, on an empty stomach. Being we are more bacteria than human cells, it is crucial we feed the good bacteria/gut bugs every day to not allow the opportunistic /bad bacteria to flourish. Keeping the balance in gut bacteria is key because if the bad bacteria flourishes, that is when you will see various symptoms throughout the body such as chronic illness/ autoimmune/weight gain/allergies/painful periods/anxiety/depression and more.

 Here are some ingredients to include in your smoothie:

  • avocado - healthy fat plus makes the smoothie creamy ( you won't even know it is in there)
  • banana - adds a natural sweetness plus will make the smoothie creamy
  • cinnamon - medicinal benefits, antioxidant + anti-inflammatory + more
  • coconut water - natural electrolytes and will help if constipated
  • mango, pineapple, or papaya - have digestive enzymes which helps digestion and absorption
  • seeds - hemp, chia, flax - great source of essential fatty acids, including omega-3 and often plant-based omega-6, as well as being high in anti-oxidants + blend easily without changing flavor profile

My Gut Hut Signature Smoothie Recipes

This Kid + Mom Approved Smoothie that is simple + delicious.

Serving size is approximately 16 oz or 2 - 8 oz

  • 1 cup milk of your choice
  • 1/3 cup coconut water
  • 3/4 medium banana
  • 3/4 cup triple berry blend - frozen recommended
  • 1/4 cup mango
  • 1/4 avocado

Optional

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon hemp seeds
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds

Blend all together to desired consistency, add 1 scoop of KePro OR The Cultured Coconut Kefir, blend for 10 seconds. Pour and Enjoy!

  • 1/4 cup coconut water
  • 1/2 medium banana
  • 1/3 cup cucumber (chopped)
  • 1/4 avocado
  • 1/2 kiwi
  • 1 basil leaf

Blend all together to desired consistency, add 1 scoop of KePro OR The Cultured Coconut Kefir, blend for 10 seconds. Pour and Enjoy!

  • 1/4 cup milk of your choice
  • 1/4 cup mango
  • 1/4 cup pineapple
  • 1/4 cup strawberry
  • 1/4 cup blueberry
  • 3 Parsley leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
